Kristin came to me a few weeks ago inquiring about a “trash the dress” shoot and of course I was all for it! I think it is so much fun to dress and dirty up your ol’ wedding dress for some photo shoot adventure fun!

Location: John U Lloyd Beach State Park in South Florida

A few months ago, Inked Magazine had contacted me about photographing Less Than Jake for a feature in their magazine celebrating Less Than Jake’s 21 years as a band together. It was so exciting to be a part of it all! They even included a little photograph of me in the magazine :) Check out the behind the scenes video of the photo shoot where you can watch me “doing my thing” while 7 months pregnant! Nothing gets in the way of me capturing an awesome moment :P

I couldn’t be more excited for my very first Mother’s Day this weekend!!! My grandmother Julie is coming down from Sebastian to visit my Mother, Eisley and I. My Dad plans on having a big BBQ for all of us and my sister in law, Rachel, just told me she would be coming over as well with my oldest brother, Kenny. The whole family will be here & I ADORE family time!!!

A week ago, one of my dear photographer friends, Steve Lawson, photographed Eisley and I together. It was such a beautiful blessing to give us. I’ve been so excited to share my favorite photographs that Steve captured of us with you all!

The Dunaway Wedding

When I asked Natalie, the bride, her favorite part about her and Kyle’s wedding she had said, “I think the best part of my wedding was having our entire families there to share the day with us as we made our vows and celebrated the beginning of our new life together. We love our families so much and we felt so blessed to have everyone there and that truly made our wedding unforgettable. The love of a family is such a precious gift and we treasure it so much and can’t wait to expand the family with our own one day!”

I’m also a big fan of hearing the stories of how each bride and groom I’ve photographed met each other. It’s so sweet to listen to how God has brought so many people together! Natalie shared a little bit about her story with Kyle - “Kyle and I actually went to high school but didn’t know each other then. We met again online through Facebook my last semester of college, and decided to go on a bike ride together one afternoon. We’ve been inseparable since then- we haven’t been apart more than 5 days in a row in the past 3 years!”

Beautiful. Here are some of my favorite photos from their wedding day! Xo

There is no greater reward or joy than being a mother to my little, Eisley.

There is no greater reward or joy than being a mother to my little, Eisley.

Eisley Lisa Cox

Born April 23rd / 7.4 Pounds / In labor from 5:34AM until 11:27PM / Natural homebirth!

The moment my daughter, Eisley, was born my entire world changed. I’ve found my calling in life, being her mother. I’ve never experienced a love on this level. Labor is the most excruciating feeling, a lot more painful than I had imagined.. but I am so happy I did it at home and without any drugs. Here are a few photos that I’d like to share :) the first two are of me during labor in the water birthing pool (though I ended up giving birth to her on the floor of her nursery, it was quite the adventure!) and the first time her and I had skin to skin contact.  I wish I had time to share a little bit more, but Eisley wants her mommy! So for now, enjoy :)

“You can bend but never break me
‘Cause it only serves to make me
More determined to achieve my final goal
And I come back even stronger
Not a novice any longer
‘Cause you’ve deepened the conviction in my soul

Oh, yes, I am wise
But it’s wisdom born of pain
Yes, I’ve paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to I can face anything.
I am strong. I am invincible. I am woman.” - Helen Reddy
